Inquiries from the Web

Quests on building a knowledge base collaboratively in the cyberspace

Notes to Blog Experiment

A few days ago, I found Obsidian, a note-taking software application that uses markdown and offers a built-in visualization of the links between the notes.

I searched the web using keywords related to visual methods like mind mapping and concepts like the second brain. Obsidian is a free cross-platform software application with a large user community that is extensible. The developers invite users to make an economic contribution and offer paid services.

I have been playing with it for a few days. Finally, I am comfortable using the Mac and Android apps. I also played a bit with the Publish service (paid).

This is a quick experiment using an Obsidian community plugin called WordPress. I have yet to study the docs deeply; I just did a quick scan to learn the setup process. First, let’s see if this note is published.

If the publishing process is successful, one possible thing to do later is update this note, i.e., add links to the app, plugins and the article I read earlier this morning.
